American Muslim (Oxymoron?)

June 7, 2007 / by PatriotGal

Can a good Muslim be a good American?

here is the email which came:

My friend sent that question to a friend of his who had worked in Saudi Arabia for 20 years.

The following was his reply:

Theologically - no. Because his allegiance is to Allah, the moon god of Arabia.

Religiously - no. Because no other religion is accepted by his Allah except Islam (Quran, 2:256)

Scripturally - no. Because his allegiance is to the five pillars of Islam and the Quran (Koran).

Geographically - no. Because his allegiance is to Mecca, to which he turns to in prayer five times a day.

Socially - no. Because his allegiance to Islam forbids him to make friends with Christians or Jews.

Politically - no. Because he must submit to the mullah (spiritual leaders), who teach annihilation of Israel and Destruction of America, the great Satan.

Domestically - no. Because he is instructed to marry four women and beat and scourge his wife when she disobeys him (Quran 4:34).

Intellectually - no. Because he cannot accept the American Constitution since it is based on Biblical principles and he believes the Bible to be corrupt.

Philosophically - no. Because Islam, Mohammed, and the Quran do not allow freedom of religion and expression. Democracy and Islam cannot co-exist. Every Muslim government is either dictatorial or autocratic

Spiritually - no. Because when we declare "one nation under God," the Christian's God is loving and kind, while Allah is NEVER referred to as heavenly father, nor is he ever called love in The Quran's 99 excellent names.

Therefore after much study and deliberation....perhaps we should be very suspicious of ALL MUSLIMS in this country. They obviously cannot be both "good" Muslims and good Americans.

Call it what you wish....it's still the truth.

If you find yourself intellectually in agreement with the above statements, perhaps you will share this with your friends. The more who understand this, the better it will be for our country and our future.

Pass it on, Fellow Americans.

The war is bigger than we know or understand.

You ask if a Muslim can be a patriotic American. Then, you make ideological comparisons and conclude that he can't.
There are about 28 millions Muslims who reside in the US. I suggest you take a random sample of Muslims here and ask them how patriotic they are.
The ones I've met know and appreciate our nation more than the average native born American you are likely to meet.

time will tell more - but so far it does not look like there is much respect for our Country from most of them

Just the other day MSNBC posted a poll on this subject on You Tube. About 70% of Muslim Americans reject violence and terrorism. This corresponds to the 70% of Americans who reject the aggressive war fought in Iraq.
I have been fortunate to meet several dozens Arabs in the USA and Bedouin in Israel. I count many of them among my friends. Some of them were hostile, but that is true with any group.
Before Americans slaughter more of them, I humbly suggest that American Jews and Christians should begin to build bridges with local Muslim communities.

I guess all of the Muslims bumpedoff has met are not "good" Muslims then. The Muslims I have talked to (that is only a couple...I'm not gonna lie) are extremely dedicated to Islam. They live in the US peacefully (it would appear) and stay very much to themselves. So from the little contact I've had with them, your post is very close to the truth.

Also, from books I have read about the subject, your post is very much in line with the beliefs of Islam.

I have talked to many people who have said that since Judaism, Christianity, and Islam all come from basically the same place...(Abraham), then all 3 are brothers. Ummm....... I heartily disagree. The Bible and the Koran are in complete conflict with one another.

    Thanks for the post "gal".

thanks for your comments[SMILE] you sound educated on the matter of Islam.
Unfortunately there are not many other people who read the Koran and other Islam writings to understand the dangers for those who believe the teachings and act accordingly.

I have known a number of Muslims to speak with but I only know a few Muslims personally. One Muslim woman who I know best is someone I like very much.
